Flying 400ft in the air scares me all the time!
I hope one day I’ll get used to it. My stomach churns as I take a step closer to the platform, I grab the rope tightly and wrap it around my waist firmly making a double knot. I step forward onto the net that holds me up.
I feel something push me I go flying. The wind pushes my hair back and swings me side to side furiously. On the other rope next to me is another girl and her rope isn’t tied on properly I yelled out to her that it wasn’t but she didn’t hear me. A jolt of wind comes straight at us, her rope unties and she leans back and falls straight down her screams ring in my ears for a while. “I WATCHED A GIRL DIE!!!” I saw her fall into the water. I check my rope to see if it’s safe and secure it’s all good and safe.
The wind howls in my ears the ground is getting closer, clouds fog my vision which makes my grip tighter and hug the rope. I see pages of leaves coming closer the wind dies down a little I can see other kids waiting at the other side waving at me “I’m almost there!” I cried.
The wind picks up again but heavily swinging me side to side my grip is loosened a bit. One arm lets go and is just dangling there the force of the wind makes my arm fly everywhere. I manage to get a hold of my arm and latch onto the rope again. I pull myself close to the rope again I wrap one of my wrists securely on one of the ropes so that if I fall back I won’t fall to my death. I reach the end touching the ground with my bare foot and feeling relieved, the smell of grass lingers in my nose calming me from the experience I have just had.
